Angry 91 caprice whats it really have 12 bolt posi ?

i have another post i am trying to figure out what motor is really in this 1991 caprice. have ran the vin number and it comes back a 5.7 tbi i was wondering how this compares to the LT1 in horse power gas milage the owener says this car has a 12 bolt posi rear end does anyone else have a posi.......standard or installed

the owner alson claims it has and LT1 in it and over sized brakes 12 bolt posi ect.

It might have posi-traction. Look for G80 on the SPID.

It does NOT have a 12 bolt, or rather would not from the factory. Crawl under the car and count the number of bolts on the differential cover.

should have an 8.5" 10 bolt.

I agree, it does NOT have a 12-bolt. At best, it is an 8.5 10-bolt...

GOOD to see you again CD! I was on Hiatis for awhile... It's good to see this list pick up where GMForums apparently left off!
