Blown Head

95 neon single cam. Im pretty well mechanically repair, The timing jump got that fixed by a professional, Then found out that my head is blown, can a regular mechanic do it or go to a professional to do it.

Regular mechanic SHOULD be able to do it i wouldnt risk it. You really should have this done correctly, its an important part lol.

is it the original engine and all stock parts??? if so.. take it to delership and get them to fix it for free... its a factory product defect.. they used crappy paper/cardboard gasket originally but now they use a metal composite one. it happened on my 99 DOHC but factory said NO because it wasnt the original engine...i flooded the 1st one w/ my iceman intake. call your local crysler or dodge dealership and talk to the people in service department about it.. the will know what u are talking about.. because thats the neons biggest downfall.. the head gasket
