switch gasoline grade

I wonder if it is ok switching gasoline grade from 93 to 89 ?
will it hurt anything.
Toyota recommends 93 octane on my 2004 4runner, but, I switched back to 89 since price is well too high.
Please give me your opinions about if it is good onthe switch.
thanks

Re: switch gasoline grade

Your vehicle runs fine on regular gasoline. You should see if changing from 93 to 89 makes your gas mileage decrease. If not, I would use 89. If you notice a decrease in gas mileage with 89, stay with the 93.
