always power to radio

Hello:
I have a 1999 Tahoe and I have a prob with the radio. There is always power to the radio even when the Ignition Switch is off. I thought maybe the ignition switch was bad, but no other accessories are on when the switch is off, just the radio.
Has anyone else had this prob? if so how did they fix it?

Thanks
Jeff

is this a stock radio or aftermarket? if its aftermarket then check you yellow memory wire and red acc/start wire to see its properly wired. if its stock ill check some info and diag it with you. if your handy with a multimeter you can check the seperate leads and also fuses to see where the power is coming to the radio from.

Re: always power to radio

My radio is stock.
This problem just started yesturday. Now today everything seems to be working fine. The radio now shuts off when the key is off.
I hate electrical gremlins!
