I just purchased LT tires for my 89 1500 suburban. Noticed afterward the the spare was a passenger tire.

Ride seems a little harsh with the lt tires. What has everyone else used?

Michelin LT.

Original tires were I think Bridgestones. They were P rated and were shot by 28K miles. I switched to Mich LT's and the ride was smoother. LT's are Load rated as C - like 1850 lbs. Sidewalls are stiffer so better towing and load capabilities. These are the real deal LTs not the X radials or Sears version.

I've been round and round on tires and for my money Michelin's are the best tire for the money.
