Hardcore Speedingchadstew 07-04-2004, 03:03 PM my bad RLeav20717 07-04-2004, 08:44 PM ..why were you going 138mph? Z_Fanatic 07-04-2004, 08:51 PM lol, delete this thread.... repeated post. :loser: do you sell drugs or did your parents finance your Porschaaa? Or your parents/guardians do not care about you? hopeless4life 07-04-2004, 10:01 PM lol i'm with z fanatic, get with it you were caught fair and square, little advice though next time don't stop so the poor judicial system doesn't have to deal with ya, just leave it to the ambulance attendants to scrape ya off the road. Plus your one of those who pisses us of in the fact your 16, drive like an asshole and mommy and daddy don't beat your ass for doin it, they help ya, costin us money. NeonAtron 07-13-2004, 08:51 PM .........lmao! Igovert500 07-16-2004, 01:49 PM wow, ok hostility. Well my first thought would be Chill out, there is no need for 138 when you are 16. But then we were all 16, and I know I made some poor decisions then as well. So my advice, would be A) www.beatmyspeedingticket.com B) hire a damn good lawyer C) stop worrying about the $1200, you are gonna lose that no matter what, worry about the 10s of thousands of dollars of fines and insurance hikes you are going to have to deal with if...and I did say if...you ever get your license back. Jimmy154 08-04-2004, 06:53 PM Okay, first I don't know why they let 16-year-olds drive :disappoin When you're 16 you should be stoned and in from of a TV (or where ever), not behind the wheel. I remember when I was 16 I used to drive with the gas floored on the highway all the time, but I did not have a porsche. Ford Tempo, to be exact; burnt to a crisp, good car though :grinno: 138 MPH isn't that bad. I've been stuck with my father in Europe going 175 MPH passed a moving cop. The cop could only go like 95 though. In America it is kind of different though, 50% don't use their blinkers and have no idea that some one will be going 138 in the left lane, so they just drift in and out of lanes while on the phone, eating tacos, and getting bl**n by some s**t. That's my :2cents: You know what could help you in the future getting some kind of switch in your car that will help you hide your licence plate, like James Bond, you know. They have pieces of glass now that dim when you flip a switch and pass current through them, I'm sure you could apply them to a car. It would be a DIY or with a friend kind of thing though. Or a switch that flips to another licence plate. At 138 no one would catch up and no video would help, unless you live in a small town and they recognize you. Also do you have a radar/laser detector? And another thing, isn't higher insurance for younger people age discrimination? I guess if no one complains and/or causes problems companies don't care about principles. What if they had insurance rated based on sex, race or any other physical attribute? You'd never hear the end of it. NeonAtron 08-04-2004, 07:28 PM What if they had insurance rated based on sex, race or any other physical attribute? You'd never hear the end of it. they do and also i see what ur saying. they are higher for males than females. (which makes no sence since males are FAR better drivers than females.) :disappoin StreetGlow10 08-05-2004, 01:26 AM Thats true. It's a proven fact that girls get in more accidents then guys do...so whys our insurance higher?!!?! 5 Point 7 08-05-2004, 11:52 AM I know!!! We should start soemthing HUGE, and have the whole countries insurance poilicies change because of it!!!! I'm SICK of paying almost 7000 dollars a year because I'm a male under 25, and my parents won't let me put it under there name!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I hate it worste than gas prices! NeonAtron 08-05-2004, 01:56 PM I know!!! We should start soemthing HUGE, and have the whole countries insurance poilicies change because of it!!!! Kinda sucks cause i couldnt imagine if i had a BMW or something classy :-\ . i do have 3 tickets, but no accidents, before the tickets i was paying 320, so i mean, they really didnt matter .does the age discrimination thing not apply to insurance companies? Jimmy154 08-05-2004, 04:09 PM Thats true. It's a proven fact that girls get in more accidents then guys do...so whys our insurance higher?!!?! Maybe so, but I think men get in more serious car accidents, that cost more money, maybe? The insurance companies get away with what they can, as well as any company. They would charge blacks more if they could get away with it, just to make everybody's insurance a few dollars less a month and of course more easy money for themselves. $7000 a year that's strange. I pay like $110 a month (no comp, just basic) and I have a awful driving record. Just about max on points I think, 22 out of 25, now it might be back at 25 again. And I live in MA. 93rollaracer 08-05-2004, 08:40 PM the reason they charge younger people more is because there's more retarded young people that do stupid shit like 138 in a 55. as far as the male/female thing, i honestly think that's retarded. i'd be willing to bet that females cause more damage in their bizillions of small accidents than males do in the lower number of serious accidents. MARS 08-05-2004, 11:16 PM im paying around 400 a month for my 01 grand am, 4 door, 4cyl. God damn!!! I thought I was getting robbed! I pay $211 a month for full coverage '01 Mustang V6 convertible in LV, NV. Sticky 08-06-2004, 01:05 AM I got a ticket the other day for goin 138 in a 55 the Texas state troopers didn't catch me though they got me on video and lasered me. I'm 16 so my insurance is already higher than hell so i'm fightin this in court, it will end up costing me almost 1200 dollars to keep it off my record with the lawyer and all. Pain in the ass. In my state, that would be considered attempted suicide; and you'd atleast have your liscence taken away, and maybe even jail time. NeonAtron 08-06-2004, 01:25 PM 400 a month? i got a whole car for that much :) RLeav20717 08-07-2004, 11:17 PM yeah, one of those things i had to do, other car broke down so i needed one that day, so i got shafted for the car 10k (15k w/ interest) (17% or so), but my father had crappy credit, and i wasnt 18 at the time, even now, no accidents, 3 tickets, and its still the same price, even though my friends that have gotten into accidents and whatnot have cheaper insurance, i feel like its such a waste of money...throwing away my money into a bottomless pit....its sad. going to refinance it though, still owe 8500 on it, i doubt they will do it. fredjacksonsan 08-12-2004, 08:54 AM I work in insurance, and the costs are a risk related thing; males under 25 do more speeding and risky things; add a couple tickets and there go your rates. I agree that many females are worse drivers and get in more accidents, guys can handle the car and get a ticket instead of going to the hospital and totalling their car. Don't think there are alot of girls out there with low rates; you'd be surprised at what some of them pay; they don't talk about it though. :) And you're right, the insurance thing is a racket, everyone HAS to have it, and they need to make a profit so charge accordingly.... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
