What is in my center Console???

I just bought a 99 suburban that has the TV in the console; but behind the TV is a large dark tranlucent plastic area. The owners manual tells nothing of this. Does anyone out there have an idea what this is. Thanks for the great site! I am new to it but I think I will get a lot of valuable information from it. Thanks!!

Jim, your TV is not a factory option but a aftermarket addition are you sure the "large dark tranlucent plastic area" isn't just extra storage spot ?
