*the perfect launch*rsxballa 07-01-2004, 02:55 PM hey.. i was wondering how many rpm's yall are up to when you let the clutch go..bring on the comments.. i wanna know whats the best possible rpm's to let go with good traction mmont0 07-01-2004, 04:55 PM I don't launch it all the time from a standstill, but I think it would have to be very low RPMs - 3000 or less. I tend to squeal in first and second gears all the time, but that's probably due to the stock tires. If you have a better set of tires it will probably allow you to get traction at higher RPMs. Also, having a larger tire/wheel combination will definitely produce less squeal since the wheel needs more torque to make it go around. This will probably cause some torque loss though. RSX-S777 07-01-2004, 05:26 PM I've heard 2500, 3000 and even higher. Like mmontO said, depends on wheels, tires, conditions etc. Experiment. SiGNAL748 07-02-2004, 03:32 PM the perfect launch would be to rev your car to about 5k and completely pop the clutch, while all wheels will continue to...oh wait...we drive fwd's :icon16: RSX-S777 07-02-2004, 10:45 PM Damned awd...when will Honda evolve.... lilslim 07-03-2004, 12:10 AM I guess you should rev around 2500 RPM, to maybe 3500 RPM. The problem is that its a FWD, so you should lighten up the back. Get a carbon fiber trunk, and rear. crazy_canuck 07-04-2004, 09:03 AM Don't get a CF hatch if you have a daily driver..... jdmlude_h22a 07-04-2004, 06:07 PM Don't get a CF hatch if you have a daily driver..... i think that's totally unnecessarry jdmlude_h22a 07-05-2004, 12:35 AM i agreed with you. I was saying that a CF hatch is unnecessary crazy_canuck 07-05-2004, 09:18 AM OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. I thought you meant my post was unneccessary. Sorry! RSX-S777 07-05-2004, 05:27 PM OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. Don't know what the hell the boy was thinking.... crazy_canuck 07-05-2004, 08:58 PM Screw yourself. :p BTW, what's the last word of your sig mean? I understand everything else..... RSX-S777 07-06-2004, 01:34 PM I'm assuming the old sig? It was a quote by Flaubert: "One cannot think and write, except sitting". crazy_canuck 07-06-2004, 04:01 PM Yeah, the old one.
