disappointed in my cav

i just went out on sunday to an old drag strip. they charge $5 and you can race whoever as much as you want. to my dissatisfaction i did worse than i thought. i have a 96' with a 2.4. it has a full exhaust (header back), underdrive pulley, intake, fuel/air module, shift+ kit (it's a 4 speed automatic) and many other small mods. i lost against every other cavalier there. i'm talking 2nd generation, 3rd generation, brand new, about 6 different ones i know exactly how to launch and had no problems but i still lost. my car has 100k on it. i think i might need to just rebuild my engine. there's no way my car should be getting beat this bad with all the time and $ i have into it. i know my compression readings are between 110-130. any ideas what i should do. oh, btw, i've replaced almost every sensor and ALL parts that deal with fuel, air, and spark

get rid of that fuel air module...with those mods you should be running mid 15's

no it should be low 15's, my stock Z24 2.4L Auto can run high 15's stock.
