I am doing the ls/vtec conversion. I bought a B16A1 head off ebay.
The holes that are drilled for the dow pis goes all the way through to where valve springs are. Is this bad or are the holes saposed to be this deep?

hmm I dont know as I did not drill my head. You know they make LS VTEC kits that prevent you from having to drill anything. They make adapter dowells that make the head and block line up as well as Oil line kits.

yes but the point of my statement was you should have just bought a head...

Sell that head or try and get your money back for it, these are the kind of things that lead to LS/VTEC horror stories. Probably did it with a cordless drill in his backyard and it won't line up for shit.

others are taking their time on swaping engines and this one is drilling his own parts

Do you know who did the work. If it was done by someone who knows what they are doing, you should be ok.
