How much is a spoon engine for 95 civic?
I wonder how much the spoon engine for 95 civic would be, and could it be supercharge or turbo? I plain to buy a 200K civic and put in performance tranmission and spoon engine. But I don't know if that possible ( the price) or the reliable of civic. I don't know if civic would be reliable with new engin and tranmission?

when i checked on one way back when i had my civic it was $6000+ without tax or shipping. for that price u could build a hell of a better motor, not to say the spoon motor is bad, but way overpriced.

The movie strikes again...
Anyways..i'll help ya out.
Spoon motors are built for Japanese ENDURANCE AND N1 RACES. Not for your local street races or daily driving....or even drag racing....
The components are not built to handle supercharger or turbochargers. Neither made to use "nahs"
Why are you buying a 95 motor to go in a 2000 Civic? Plus..Spoon crate motors are sold as packages - so the transmission that includes a Spoon Sports flywheel, clutch, and other various things is included.
Spoon Sports crate motors aren't very reliable for everyday use. Since usually they're maintenanced after every race.
And they usually cost upwards of $8,500.
Just get a B16A and a JRSC and be happy.

Spoon engines are badass - for a N1 or Endurance race car..or a road race car.

Actually, just to clear this up, he meant he was buying a 95 Civic with 200K miles on it. Anyway, don't buy a spoon engine, build your own! Much more fun that way, thats what I'm gonna do (this summer hopefully).

Spoon engines aren't necessarily faster, they are just stronger. This is not your average performance built engine! These engines are built specifically for endurance and N1 racing in Japan. You would be much better off building your own like I said. A lot cheaper too. I don't even know if Spoon does the H22. Because you sure as hell don't want to put a B16 or B18 into your 'Lude.
Oh, and acceleration between gears? What the hell is that? Your car will not accelerate between gears! It will actually decelerate! Think about it. If between shifts your engine is not engaged to the transmission, therefore you are putting no power to the ground, therefore you obviously cannot accelerate, unless you are going downhill, then the force of gravity will accelerate you. Otherwise, that is a totally rediculous statement, and you have a lot to learn about cars. Just watching TFATF will not make you an import expert.

The Fast and The Furious fed some major bullshit to the incoming kids of the import world.
