pre-turbo goodso0Quicksilver0o 06-29-2004, 01:28 AM Well i have been trying to save for my greddy non ic turbo kit for a while and shit keeps coming up and i can never get the amount i need for it. so i think ill just settle for some other stuff for the time being. i wanted to know where i could get some of these parts and for how much and how well do you think it will open up my car now and when i get my turbo down the road. I am thinking of a 2 1/2 inch exhuast that replaces my resonator and my cat...but keeping my stock muffler. and ill get a short intake and a 62mm throttle body and a skunk 2 intake manifold. i am think of a 21-24 hp increase and about $650-$900 do you guys think i am at all accurate and what do you think? and where can i get a thottle body, intake manifold for a d16y7? kinda hard to find for my dx  Alejo_nin 06-29-2004, 08:33 PM if u leave the stock muffler, u are just wasting money on headers, down pipe, and cat-back o0Quicksilver0o 07-01-2004, 11:56 AM First i only can get one header on my four cylinder sorry:( must be somthing wrong with the car. and i will be getting piping made from exhuast mani back to the muffler...no downpipe..and no cat back or what ever. just straight piping and a muffler.. i dont see how having a cat and resonator replaced could be a waste...even with bigger piping i think you helped me the least ever on these forums than anyone else...ever. sageuvagony 07-01-2004, 12:31 PM You could get a high flow after market muffler that is as goos as quiet.. straight through muffler. I think he means that, getting this done will cause a bottleneck problem... huge pipes letting alot of exhaust through untill it hits the bottle neck, small and restrictive. but you should still see some small gains with at least that. Alejo_nin 07-01-2004, 04:23 PM there's no point in leaving the original muffler if u gonna go with straight piping....as the other dude said....change the muffler to a high flow which is quiet Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
