Angry Dash AC Blower Knob

Hello my fellow Aurora Drivers.

I noticed today that large knob to increase or decrease the blower speed is loose and about to fall off.

Can anyone tell me, if this is easy to replace, or do I have to buy the whole unit at the Dealership.

I am hoping that the switch can be easily repaced with out spending obe $ 900.00m for the whole unit.

Thanks.

Very easy to replace. Old one pulls (falls) off....new one pushes on. No big deal. It will probably be $10-$20 to purchase....but it is owner replaceable....unless there is something damaged other than the plastic press-fit spline (and I'm guessing nothing else is damaged).

Re: Dash AC Blower Knob

The knob is most likely not the problem...

Pull the knob off (pry carefully!) and you will find the shaft retaining nut has become loose. Tighten carefully with a deep socket making sure that the switch is seated properly.

Mine fell off. I was just adjusting the fan speed and it just fell off. Just went to the dealer and bought a new one for a few dollars and it just snapped right on. (Slowly my car is becoming new again. Starting with little things like the knob.)
