Quick question about TintMiniKiller 06-28-2004, 11:48 PM Hey I'm getting tint on my car wednesday and have one quick question for u guys. I know I cant do the whole front windshield but I'm told I can do part of the upper half, should I or would that look gay? Also please if u can help me out in my other topic about the rattling in my stero thanks Joe Three_Fingers 06-29-2004, 08:36 AM Most states allow you to tint the top 1/3 of your windshield. As far as how it looks? Well, you gotta live with it. But if ya don't like it, ya can always scrape it back off. rex1one 06-29-2004, 03:44 PM I now this sounds stupid, but a lot of auto stores sell plastic tinted strips that apply to the front and you can peel it off later without the blade or soap (I had one on my first car). It's not a sticker, just rubbery plastic that looks like tint. Go ahead... Start your laughing, I deserve it. MiniKiller 06-29-2004, 05:21 PM did it look good? cause if im gonna do it i am gonna have this guy tint that part to. just looking for some opinions rex1one 06-30-2004, 05:41 PM Yea, it looked alright. I left it in for 2 two years. STINKINLINCOLN 06-30-2004, 07:26 PM it looks good some people call it a sun strip MiniKiller 06-30-2004, 08:47 PM Well the guy told me if I wanted he can do it for like 20 bucks cause I went through him today. Came out very nice I got the darkest tint on the rear and those little tiny windows u cant open on the coupe model. On the side I got the medium/dark tint. Its legal but with the factory tint it makes it illegal. I'll get some pics with my red calipers (next week getting em) if I ever get a damn digital camera, anyone got tips on a good one of those lol STINKINLINCOLN 06-30-2004, 09:21 PM Sony Makes The Best Classicrocjunkie 06-30-2004, 10:44 PM In NY state the legal limit is 6" down from the top of the winsheild.
