Unhappy Help with foglight install

i have posted this in exterior but i didnt get many responses. there should be more exposure for the post here:

I just bought some PIAA driving lights and have some questions about the installation. My first question is how do i get the wires through the firewall into the passenger compartment? i cannot find where to put it through and the instructions are not specific to vehicle so they are no help.

My next question is about another wire. the Instructions say "connect the switch power wire (H) to power source. Legal operation of these driving lights requires that the power source be one that is only powered (+) when the high beam of the headlamps are on." Where should i plug this wire into?

thanks for your replies and any websites detailing the install would be helpful.

installing fog lamps

look for those rubber groumets that can bee seen on the passenger side of the engine compartment...one should be either next or below the battery....remove the groumet and feed your wires thru it...the wires should appear inside the passenger compartment behind the glove box area..put the groumet back in place to prevent any exhaust fumes and gases entering the passenger compartment...as for connecting the fog lights to the high beam, you will be defeating the purpose of using fog lamps. never use you high beams in the fog or you will not able to see far due to the white out condition ( a condition that blinds the driver with nothing but white being reflected back to the driver...something like driving in the snow)....the fog lamp should come with its own wiring kit which includes a switch...use that...as for the power source, use the battery if the kit has a inline fuse...or you will have to tap into another power source...

to clarify the second question, it is the power for the switch. So i need to find some + wire to hook into, the reason for hooking into a wire that is only hot when the lights are on is that i wont leave the lights on, i think. So where is a positive wire i can hook up to?
thanks for the reply though, i was lost on where to get through.

I wired my fogs in with my cigarette adapter wire, so I can have the lights on without parking lights, or headlights on, and I can't accidentally leave them on cuz the cig adapter doesn't get power when the car is off

That's the best choice. There are some places in the fuse box that only recieve power when you turn on the car as well.
