2000 Civic SiBintegra 06-27-2004, 08:10 PM I am having trouble deciding wheather to get a stock 2000 Honda Civic Si or a stock 1998 Cobra Mustang. BullShifter 06-29-2004, 01:54 AM And that deals with Honda/Acura suspension, wheels, or tires how? Bintegra 06-29-2004, 10:56 AM my bad, im still new to this forum stuff chixSI 07-02-2004, 10:11 AM i say go with the import MexSiR 07-02-2004, 11:21 AM Depens what you want it for. A mustang 98 Cobra will beat the Civic Si in any performance test. Looking for relaiability and some fun? Get the civic. Mustangs look like shit, that generation. The civic si looks better IMO. I was faced with kinda the same decision, weather to get a 1999 Si or a 1998 Mustang GT. I choose the Si over the GT, Neon R/T, and Golf GTI. Im still pretty happy with my decision. SilverY2KCivic 07-09-2004, 12:50 PM Definitely wrong forum. But I'd agree 100% with MexSi about which to get. :) Kafziel 07-09-2004, 01:20 PM If it was between an '87 Mustang 5.0 and a '99 Civic EX, I'd have a hard time deciding which to vote for. In this case, I have no opinion. And yet, I must comment. kicker1_solo 07-10-2004, 01:47 AM And yet, I must comment. wierd huh? lol Go with the civic. Newer mustang drivers are fags, so are most civic driver's though, but SIs are cool. :) Ricochet 07-10-2004, 01:58 AM Cobra. LunchBox 07-10-2004, 03:23 AM That depends on how bad you wanna take it from your insurance co., and if you wanna dump a ton on gas. Don't get me wrong, mustangs aren't bad at all (it's what a lot of us try to beat 90% of the time), but they do have their drawbacks. And depending on your age, your insurance would tear you a new one for it. Also, if you live in Cali, you're gonna paye every time the needle reads, "E". Just one more thing to consider. ~ls/vtec~ 07-10-2004, 05:25 AM si. american muscle is garbage...i just raced an srt4 today and lost by like a 1/4 of a car, but my engine doesnt idle for shit and is running way too rich and my evap purge control valve isnt hooked up..mines a 1.9 ls vtec all motor and he was a 2.4 turbo. amazing things these imports can do T-Racer 07-10-2004, 09:03 AM yea man deff buy the si Ace$nyper 07-10-2004, 11:12 AM Go for the SVT only down side with cobra would be extra insurance and gas. ~ls/vtec~ 07-10-2004, 01:25 PM whats the price difference? Ricochet 07-10-2004, 03:17 PM Go for the SVT only down side with cobra would be extra insurance and gas. I know a couple Cobra owners and they told me their gas mileage is in the 23-25mpg range. The Si realistically gets about 28mpg. Ace$nyper 07-10-2004, 04:57 PM I know a couple Cobra owners and they told me their gas mileage is in the 23-25mpg range. The Si realistically gets about 28mpg. true with light foot but once you stomp them a b16 drops to like 19mpg while the SVT goes more like 12. I tend to think someone buying a sports car will use it and either way its still 5mpg not too big a deal. But good point that the Cobras when tamed can get good milage boosted331 07-10-2004, 08:10 PM Buy the cobra, spend 2500 bucks on a used S-trim kit, enjoy 450 RWHP on your otherwise stock motor with good reliability. Also enjoy the fact that it isn't FWD and can actually hook up on the street. ~ls/vtec~ 07-11-2004, 01:32 AM the only v8 id get would be a camaro ss, but thats me Bintegra 07-11-2004, 05:16 PM the price difference is 8,000(cobra) and 11,000(SI) Ace$nyper 07-11-2004, 06:08 PM the price difference is 8,000(cobra) and 11,000(SI) MY GOD if you get the SI you should slap your self 3K less for a cobra yea used blower 2500 nice cat back you'll have 400RWHP and nice purr for the price of a stock SI. T-Racer 07-11-2004, 11:03 PM there's no way a stang could get that much out of gas, and the SI with so little? is it true? i always heard stories of stangs eating gas up! ~ls/vtec~ 07-11-2004, 11:39 PM the ss in 6th gear at idle goes 45 mph. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
