Considering I'am the first person to say something about the Outback I'am guessing know one has anything much to say about them.
In about 2 to 3 years our family will be looking around for there next car. Father wanted a 1993 to 1995 Mitsubishi Pajero but I came up with a document comparing the Pajero to a Outback. Gave dad a look and he thought it was pretty good and took it to work where he gave it to his boss to have a read. The thing is, the boss has a 1993 Pajero for sale and is soon buying a brand new Outback. The comparo I did was a five second job just finding a article and picture on each vehicle and banging it all together with a title page. For us, I'd love to get a early 98 Outback. At the moment there about $ 25 000 to $ 30 000. Hopefully in a few years time we should be able to get a good one for under 25k. I really think there the best of both worlds. A general car in the week but also a great holiday car. Compared to a Pajero there's no contest. They go better, handle better, have lower fuel consumption, easier to drive, more features and better value for your money. One line in the Outback article said it the best - ''Getting a bigger 4WD to do the same job is like cracking a wallnut with a sledghammer." My dad likes the Outback but probably just didn't think of them as a possible replacement for our trusty 87 Mazda Traveller. Our next car will be our first newish car and the ironic part is I'll be driving my own car and not getting a chance to ride around in it....

Well, I am driving a Legacy Outback right now, will have a WRX soon. Outback’s may not have a lot of hp here in the US, but they handle very well in the corners if you have good tires. Even sports cars have not been able to keep up with me on twisty roads( mostly because so many don’t know how to drive). Very happy with my Outback.

I have a 97 outback wagon and I love it. To date I have 105,000 miles and don't have a single problem yet. When I bought it I paid $19,000 for mine and it had 41,000 miles," you might say why pay so much for a car with all the miles"? Well with all of the problems I have had with American made cars New, and used I decided to try the outback because of their solid reputation for low mait,and how well they handle the bad weather. With having kids and all it is not as nice as it use to but I still keep it clean and keep up on the routine maitiance( Whicy I find to me a lot easier to do on your own than doing them on an american car.

I got the deal of the century on mine. I bought a 1996 Legacy Outback in 2001 with 59,000 miles for 9,000$. It was owned by an Episcopal Priest who was moving to France and had a 3 hour window to make the transaction hence the lmost 6,000 below value price.I love the thing and will keep it as long as I can.
