Unhappy Turn Signal Noise

This is a new wrinkle. About once every 5th time or so that I start the car, the turn signal click (the click only, not the signal itself) comes on and stays on until I travel about 1/4 mile or so and then step on the the brake! What the ...??? After that it will generall not do it, however every once and a while the noise will pop up while on the highway.

Re: Turn Signal Noise

Check your brake/signal lights. I'm guessing an element crossed.

Re: Turn Signal Noise

I get this once in a while too, its very strange, only activates when you start the car, sometimes its on for about 20 seconds, most times less. And its intermittent, comes and goes. Had it been a crossed element. wouldnt it be constant?

Turn signal fix

I had the same problem and took it to the dealer.
The result was a shorted multifunction switch.
It also caused my cruise control to turn off occasionally.

Part number is: 26062937
