Help !!!....RR_Rick 06-26-2004, 07:30 AM Im wondering if there is a way to get the codes from my car (97 Grand- Am 2.4) My engine light stays on and it runs like crap! I know you can use a paper clip on the Camaro/Trans-am's just wasnt sure if there was a way to do it to the Grand-am ???????? and also if there is a way..where can I go to see what that code is for? The paperclip method only works with OBD 1 computers RR_Rick 06-27-2004, 03:20 PM yeah I figured that one out...and that sucks :( but anyway when they did hook up the scanner they didnt work at all! achievasc92 do you know why that would be?????? thanks achievasc92 06-27-2004, 04:25 PM I don't know why? should work, certain 94s and 95s can only be read at the dealer, but thats because it was during the transition phase between OBD 1 and 2, by 97 the transition was over so there shouldn't be any problems. strange.
