Wheels/Rims

I want to know if all late model 4.5 inch, 5 lug Chrysler OEM wheels for FWD cars are interchangable?

I have a 2002 Stratus SE. I like everything about it, but I was too cheap to buy one with the 16 inch wheels. I thought about going aftermarket when I replace the tires, but I have not found any wheels that I like. I found some OEM wheels from a 2001 Caravan that I like and think would look good on my car. The price is right, but I am not sure if they will work. Can I put 16x6.5 Caravan wheels on the Stratus, or are the offsets different. Oh, and before you laugh, the Caravan wheels are cool. What about wheels from an Avenger, or an Intreped? The Avenger wheels are 16x6, the Intrepid wheels are 16x7.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't get an answer here, call a tire dealership.

Re: Wheels/Rims

Well I got an 01 RT and mounted a 235/45/17. the Factory sent the R/T's out as 215/50-17.I also have a 2" drop which I have a little bit of wheel scrub in the wheel wells, but nothing to bad, I just have to cut away some plastic in there, and the other models of the startus I would HIGHLY sugjest going to tirerack.com, there you will find the other tirer sizes.

Re: Wheels/Rims

I went +1 on my R/T and got Vault chrome 18s and put on 225-40/18" Khumo (great summer tire!)

Looks great, but still seems a tad small on the large Startus coupe

Be aware that when you go to an independent wheel maker, the design is general and not a perfect match. Many folks then have a vibration problem at a specific speed even with tires that are perfectly balanced. My vibe hits at 70 MPH. Not dangerous, just annoying.

I won't drop the suspension as potholes (I work in NYC) destroy low profile tires and lowering would bottom out a car all the time. Been there, done that [on a BMW].
