z28 engine into a cavalier

OK. I personnaly don't think that it is possable but some kid claims that he is goin to drop an engine from the 1999 Z28 into his 2003 cavalier.
Now I'm pretty sure he is goin to have to do a lot of work the engine bay to get it to fit. Not only that since the Z28 is wider than the cav. i dont think the cv shafts for the 28 will fit his car.. Is he gonna have to do so much work that it is not worth it?

Re: z28 engine into a cavalier

Are you sure he didn't say Z24? If he said Z28 there would have to be serious engine bay mods, and Chassis mods. The Z28 is a rear wheel driven engine. But I don't think it is inpossible, not very smart though.

hmm speaking of that, how much would it cost to (if possible) put a z24 into a 96 cav coupe?

And would the power gains be worth it??

Actually, not very expensive. And yes, the power gains are worth it. I smoke honda's all day with my Z-24. Damn skippy engine for the size it is.
