I cant get my air conditioning to work. when i turn it on its all heat and i dont uderstand. my vent wont even work. when the button is all the way on cold its still heat. any suggestions? :banghead:

Maybe your control thing is busted, try getting another one from a junkyard, theyre only like 10$.

you don't have any freon in your a/c system.

I don't know which freon the A/C system on a 240sx uses, if its R134a your in luck, if its R12 your gonna get raped in the ass....

r12 was outlawed awhile ago and is really expensive to get and you can only get it at certain shops, OR you can convert your system to use 134a, still gonna cost some money, but you can now use the cheaper freon.

Reasons for freon leaking:
Busted Condensor
Busted Compressor
Busted Evaporator Core

these are the 3 main things that go wrong, but not the only thing. Any competent shop that does A/C work will be able to check it and atleast see what the problem is and where it leaks from, as well as give you an estimate for repair work
