i need help to find out whether or not chevrolet ever place a 502c.i.d. engine in one of their cars. And what are some of the engine codes for the 305, 350, & 454. ex:454-LS6. this is for aproject and i would greaatly appreciate it if you would help.

NO! chevy never put the 502 in a production vehicle. it was (i believe) originally designed as a boat motor. engine codes...454 = Ls-3,Ls-4,Ls-5. 305=LG4(305 w/ 4 barrel quadrajet) L69(305 h.o. 190 horse) and 350= L82(corvettes).. sorry, that is all i can thinkof right now, if i have any more i'll post them later.
I believe they phased out the 305 when the new ls-1 based engines came into production. H.O. = high output. it came in the malibu SS and Montecarlo SS and the ElCamino SS. don't waste ur time trying to hop them up too much, it'll cost about 2,200 dollars to make about 300 horsepower, while u can buy a 2 barrel 350 for about 400, re ring it and hone it out and make about 300 horse power and 350+ torque for about the same price.
Where can i get stock dyno charts fr some of thses engines?? cause id like to know how much h.p. and pound feet of tourque my brothers 1984 Camaro Z28 has. And what some older and newer 350's, 454's and maybe a crate 502.

If ur brother's z28 has the Lg4 305, chances are that it has 160 horsepower and 235 foot pounds of torque. if u want newer chevrolet engines, order a GM Performance Parts book from any dealer, for about $5, it has all crate motors that chevrolet offers and dyno charts for each.
Post-World War II and put into a production light-vehicle, it was the 500cid (8.2L) Cadillac engine. Followed by the current Chevrolet 8.1L V8, if my memory serves me correctly. The upcoming Viper/Ram Pickup V10 engine will be 505cid (8.3L), but you said "V8".
chevrolet (gm really) still makes all of the engines...but none of them are put in cars. if you go to the gm web site you can find that they still have the 454 and 502 in the inventory.
