Re: can i fit 6x9's in the front?
What year of car are you running?
When I upgraded the stereo in my car, I found it a tight fit to put 6-1/4's in the front, but it can be done.
6 x 9's, I dunno if you want to do that. Is it possible, yes, but there is gonna be some cutting involved and you will have to build some baffles.
If you are lloking for some good sound, use 6-1/4's with tweeters. I have the Clarion component set and it sounds great!

Re: Re: can i fit 6x9's in the front?
it's a '96, a GT if that matters (it shouldn't).
cool tho, maybe i'll just put those 6x9's in the back and get the 6-1/4's instead. but i'll see if i can do anything to get those 6x9's in while i'm at it.

Re: can i fit 6x9's in the front?
the front speakers on a sunfire are 4x6...
the same that are on my grand am. i replaced
my fronts a couple months ago, and i know that
on my car, it would be a big deal to try to fit 6x9
in there.. but, maybe it would be easier on a sunfire?

When you take the pannel of the door, you can build a baffle and do it, but it gets complicated.
A component system is the way to go!

Re: can i fit 6x9's in the front?
You can get 5 1/2 and 6 1/4 convertion plates to replace the stock 4x6s with ease, if your car is a GT then your set, the GT door pannels have the wires and the location for the tweeters.
