are my struts serviceable or not?

all 4 of my struts are dead. makes driving the car misserable. i know that some camrys have service struts where u can just buy the inserts and others u have to buy the whole strut assembly. not sure if its a by year thing or just random. i have a 92 le w/ the 4 cyl.

its too hot here just to jack the car up to look without at least doin some work to make it wirth while. how can i tell if i can just by inserts or not?

also anyone have any recommendations? i need something "lower" priced. i dont need fancy ones or sport struts.

Re: are my struts serviceable or not?

Not all 92 Camrys have the same suspension. Go to the dealer (or call them) and give them your VIN number so that they can give you correct information and part number/price. If you are going to keep it for a while, go with the Toyota struts. They are quite good compared with cheaper aftermarket struts. At least you will have a price from the dealer to compare with.
