I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with their rear window mounted antenna's. I have a 1997 Avalon and everytime I hit the defroster the radio stations just go out like the antenna was being unpluged. I just noticed this problem a week ago. My car has a little over 108,000 miles. Any support will be helpfull. Thanks.

This is usually caused by either a short or a bad fuse. What you should do is visually inspect the antenna and defroster lines from the inside of the vehicle and verify that there are no chunks out of them. If there are, then you can purchase a repair kit from your local auto parts retailer for fairly cheap. If you can see no breakage in the lines then check all of your fuses related to the radio and defroster.
