hissing from heater core after shut off

I am hearing a hissing and gurgling sound from under my glove box when I park my burb after running the a/c. seems to be blowing as cold as ever, but I don't remember it being this noticable last summer. is this normal or is something going wrong.

1999 2500 7.4 w/90K miles.

Re: hissing from heater core after shut off

does this mean that it is harmless, or does it need attention ?
