Nova for 300...considering buying
Hey guys whats up? I have a question for all you nova experts....okay there is this one 78 nova that is for sale by my house. Its this really old ass lady celling it for 300!!!! The engine runs smoth and it only has 15,000 miles. The cosmetics of the exterior is not ruste but definatley needs new tires and a paint job. The interior is really good. The engine needs a new battery and a fan....other than that its good....I want to know if this price is good? It may be a stupid question, but id really like your opinions. Also, if i were to buy this how much would it cost to fully restore and then some?? Let me know if its a deal. Thanks

Hey man. What engine does it have in it and such? No matter what I would personally buy it. As far as restoring it, I dont think i would spend the money to restore a 78 modal Nova, but you could sink a little money into it and make it a nice little track car. But honestly, for 300 bucks I dont think you can go wrong.

300 dollars... dude, ur sick. Do me a favor, go into the hospital, tell the nurse that you need a "cat scan", cause your nuts
You don't understand, if an old lady owns it it means that it was not abused, even though it is one of the new models, it is still a nova. You can make them fast, and you can make them fast for very little dough. do it.

So you think... it might have been her husband's car or her sons car or something! It might have bad shifting problems or something! I say, drive it first and then decide. Check the floors as well, as any car that old with that low miles had been sitting for a long time; as the need for paint tells me it hasn't been garaged.

Re: Nova for 300...considering buying
doesn't really matter if it runs good or miles. a 77 nova SS which even if it was didnt matter the power is very low even if 350 but thinking its a 77 should have a 305 or 6 banger. Price yeah, remember you get what you pay for, to restore that thing you might as well dig a hole in the ground and throw your money in it. It is a waste, after 74 nova really had no power and in the 80's most if not all went to 4 banger so save your money and if its a nova your after look for a 67 -74 ss would be the way to go more power, disk brake in the front, and if not atleast a 350 with a 4 bll 600cfm 750 is better. And if u really r looking for a car that has even more respect would be a chevelle 67-72 i have like 2 and one is ss and the other is non ss, i had 3 sold the other stock one for 1000 just a shell no motor or trans your better off waiting longer and looking around more for a better deal.
