1999 Silverado With 110,000 miles, question...

My ’99 Chevy Silverado has 110,000 mile racked up on it already. 75% of these miles are interstate miles… Now, to this point I have had no real problems with this truck, except the ABS motor problem. I learned about the easy fix through this website, and sent the unit off to Gavin Curtis at Circuit Solutions. Other than that I have had no problems with this truck. My question for the group is this. At this mileage, what should I start to look out for? What kind of check-up can be done to the transmission to assure it lasts another 100,000?

I'm not sure but I,ve got 176,000 on my 1999 2500 4x4 . I've Owned it for the last 10,000 and I could,nt imagine it running any better than it does now. knock on wood. I did have to replace the rotors and pads but I think that is a common problem. And the abs motor stuck on so I just unplugged it. I sure do miss the abs when I need it. It's hard to stop a 3/4 ton 4x4 in a hurry without locking them up. For the money, best truck I've ever owned. Butch

ABS problem...

Butch,
Check out Circut Solutions at www.circuitsolutions.info
I learned about the fix for this problem here on this forum. I followed the directions on the Circut Solutions website, removed the unit (truck is still driveable) and sent it off. It was back in less than a week... Fixed and not another problem.
