Re: power door lock

Either your actuator has gone bad (a common problem), or you have a broken wire (most commonly in the wire bundle leaeding into the door)...

The actuator was bad I replaced that. but still had intermittant at the driverside door lock switch, pass works all four fine( before I replaced actuator the pass side only work tha back doors and pass door). I pulled the switch (driver side) and it is fine , the only way something could be wrong with the switch is if the metal strips broke.I pulled apart the harness at the driver side door jamb no broken wires or bad connectors. I put it back together and now the driver side door switch does not work at all but the pass side still works all four door locks no problems! what gives?????????????????????????????????????????

Re: power door lock

If the passenger side locks/unlocks all the doors, but the driver's side switch is only working intermittently it's gotta be the driver's side switch, switch connector or switch wire - make sure nothing's shorted too (tape up any bare metal or exposed connection (maybe something's shorting it when you put the panel back on?). As a last resort you might try replacing the switch wire anyway (in case it's broken internally where you can't see). Dunno, other than that I'm outta ideas too. Maybe someone else has a thought or two. Good luck, though...
