ABS light
Check reservoir for sensor plugged into it on lower part of tank. Its held in place by a plastic clip. Remove it and leave the sensor plugged to the cable. Start the truck and see if the light goes off. If it does then the float inside the reservoir is either stuck or bad (probably stuck). Your options are to either replace the reservoir, remove the res tank and change the brake fluid, or try banging on the tank to loosen the senor (be careful if you do this so as not to damage the tank). If you try the latter two re-install the senor and see if the light went out. I've a 2000 Silverado LS and my ABS would come on intermittently. At first I would bang on it to loosen the float and that would work for a while but one good rut in the road would make it come on again. Finally removed the res tank and changed the fluid and that did the trick. It hasn't come on since. Hope this helps. Got the info from a really good GM Tech and the guy really knows what he's talking about.
