:disappoin Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the transmission A606(42LE) in my 1995 Concorde will not change gears and drags when the car gets hot. :banghead:

Same car, same thing happened to me. By doing a computer code check I found out it was the crankshaft position sensor that was bad. You can check here

http://www.allpar.com/fix/80s-codes.html

for more info.

Anyway, it cost about $30, took less than 5 minutes to change and I never had a problem again.

That is the same problem i actually have..... Hey chanda_curlin .. Did you fix the car ?? what was the problem..

I think is like a solenoid or a sensor problem...

About fernjj says. i have a code scanner, so i check the car with the scanner and did't found anything.
Even with the Key On Off On Off method...

Please help..
P.D. I have 2 week without my car.. :(

Also, you can check the transmission wiring harness, it passes close to the exhaust. On my car I found out that some of the insulation had melted and some of the wires would short. I was able to separate the wires and tape them up. This was causing my car to stall unexpectantly.
