Question Door locks not working

Hi all, I purchased the remote that was supposed to work with my 96 JX conv. Per instructions I received I used a wire to connect hole 1 of the 16-way data link connector to hole 4 and followed the written instructions.(turn key to acces. and then to lock position). The remote did not respond so I followed the instructions that said in some models hole 13 and 16 had to be used---still no response from the remote. Now it seems I must have shorted something out as my door locks will not work at all. They will not lock from the door panel or with the key. I manually pushed the driver's door lock down and I was unable to unlock it with the key. Soooo at this point in time I cannot lock my doors (I can manually but I would not be able to unlock) or arm the alarm etc. Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Smile Re: Door locks not working

DUHHHHH.....Ok I am blonde and I am a female HOWEVER after I posted my ? I put a bit more thought into my problem....a blown fuse! However I did find that the fuse diagram on the back of the fuse panel is not correct. I looked at my car manual and it showed a different fuse diagram and when I changed the fuse according to that diagram---- voila my locks, radio , alarm etc ALL worked. So problem solved!
