trouble with manifolds and a big block
I'm trying to install new manifolds on my big block chevy nova and am finding that the passanger side fits fine, but the driver side is hitting the power steering box. Should I raise the chassis mount bracket, or lower the other side bracket? I'm not sure what to do, I've given up on headers( even block huggers don't fit). Need help!!!

Re: trouble with manifolds and a big block
Do you know if the person before had headers on the big block that was in it before? What brand headers are you using?

Re: trouble with manifolds and a big block
I dont know if the previous owner had headers or not. I have ordere bb chevy headers from streetbeatcustoms.com, they are pacesetter headers. I am understanding that I need bb frame mounts, so I've ordered them. Do you recomend a brand of header?

Re: trouble with manifolds and a big block
I have had good luck with Hooker headers and Hedman headers. The only thing with the hedmans is that you need their gaskets.

Re: trouble with manifolds and a big block
Summit, Jegs, PAW. Can get them from about anywhere. I was thinking the early novas had different frame mounts for big blocks.

Re: trouble with manifolds and a big block
Sounds good. Hooker was the only one that listed headers for my elcamino with a small block and 4 speed.
