Ok, my girly side is showing . What is a Seimens? I know it has something to do with the fuel system. Also when it goes bad does it need to be replaced? or is there more than one of them?

My CEL came on and my gas gauge did some weird stuff so I took it to my mechanic. He said it was a problem with the seimens but made no mention of replacing it.

Is your mechanic German? Siemens is a German electronics industrial giant that makes automobile sensors and other devices. Maybe your mechanic meant the problem was with the electrics such as a sensor etc. Siemens also took over VDO which made car guages and other instrumentation. A lot of verbage but not much help..sorry. There isn't any part that I'm aware of in any Toyota product called a siemens.

That's what the dignostics computer said it was. If siemens makes sensors then it's possible one somewhere in my fuel system malfunctioned.
