Question 99 Passat V6 strut/sway bar noise

I have a 1999 VW Passat V6 with 86,000 miles and just had new front and rear brakes and 4 new tires installed about 3 weeks ago. I noticed a muffled rattling noise coming from the right front tire area shortly thereafter when I go over potholes and parking lot speed bumps. I know it is only coming from the right front side since I have tested running both sides of the car over a speed bumb. I wonder if it has anything to do with the new brakes and/or tires or if it is just a coincidence that I noticed the noise recently? I do not hear the rattling noise going over smooth highway and it doesn't seem speed dependent. Also, I don't notice any special sounds whatsoever when I make turns. Any suggestions for what to look for would be greatly appreciated - e.g. bad sway bar (does this car have one?), bad strut, bad cv joint, bad axle, etc.

Is the suspension possibly still covered under warranty?

Question

Hi,

Have you found the source of the problem yet, as I seem to have the same problem after the front brakes pads and disks were replaced? The rattle seems to stop when the brakes are applied!

Any ideas?
