I am searching for daytona information/partsMoparalltheway 06-06-2004, 09:56 PM I am looking to upgrade my car a little. Can anyone tell me a good site to find daytona body kits and daytona cold air intake. I know the engin is the same as the standard 3000GT, and Dodge Stealth when it came out but i dont know for sure that it would fit the daytona. so any help would be great thanks.... slantsixness 06-07-2004, 03:03 PM ??? "I know the engin is the same as the standard 3000GT, and Dodge Stealth " well, yes, the standard 3.0L is, sort of... Daytona body kit? there are some, but : Is it an ES, IROC, Pacifica? What year is it? I campaigned daytonas and GLHS's and (Little)Chargers for years. I never found the 3.0L engine worth much. the Turbo cars are still MUCH faster. Of course the twinturbo 3.0 fromm a 3000 could be much fun :) It'll fit, but it's a whole lotta work. Give me a little more info, and I'll see where I can help you. Slantsixness Moparalltheway 06-07-2004, 04:56 PM It is a 1990 dodge daytona ES. 3.0 litter. I like your idea for the Engine :naughty: slantsixness 06-08-2004, 10:41 AM The ES body kit is already pretty decent looking, and is functional. You can add a larger and higher wing, but it won't do anything but make the car look different. I have seen offset rims put on daytonas and the fenders flared out, but I've never seen a kit version that looked good. On the other hand, I have seen one custom job that actually used flares similar to the conquest TSI fenders, and offset rims morphed into an ES body kit. Looked really cool, but I bet it was expensive. As for the motor, if it's in good shape (and I mean really good, no smoke, no cold rattling) you can get more air (intake) to it, and buy a programmable ECM, and have some decent performance, without actually tearing down the motor. Stay away from the cold air "resistor" kits, you'd just be wasting money, and you won't gain any "20" hp, either with one. Besides, it's just a 100K resistor across the air temp sensor. Moparalltheway 06-08-2004, 06:59 PM Thanks for the information.. This might help me out a little. SVTcobra306 06-08-2004, 11:05 PM OK what kind of motor do you have? What year? need more info to really help you out.... Like was said before, what trim? Turbo Z, Turbo Z CS, Shelby, ES, CS, Pacifica, Iroc R/T, Base model? slantsixness 06-09-2004, 06:48 AM Um... he already answered that..... SVTcobra306 06-09-2004, 01:15 PM Oh, duh. slantsixness 06-14-2004, 06:42 AM Sounds like "moparalltheway" already ran out of money...?!!
