Question 93 Corsica 3.1T, temp gauge diagnostics

Temp gauge won't register ? At the gauge cluster, does the pnk/blk provide ign. power for the temp gauge ? The pnk/blk does have 12v on it when I turn the key on. Does the dk. green wire provide return ground or voltage path to the head temp sender ? Ground path for gauge is good. Do any of the wires pass through a body module ? A simple explanation of the schematic and pinout would really help. The gauge itself should be ok, made the needle rise and fall with my ohmmeter probing the pins of the gauge with the cluster disconnected.
Thanks in advance,
Phil
