S10 Blazer Wheel Noise

I have a 92 2WD S10 Blazer that has a noise coming from the front driver's side wheel. The noise stops when the brakes are applied.

Possibly just dirt on the brake pads, gets imbedded in the material, when you put on the brakes the pressure on the pads stops the noise. A grinding noise, like a snow tire, might be a wheel bearing though, needs attention pretty quick.
