85 V-6

What is wrong with the 85 V-6's. Do they all have rods that go bad
and what is a good replacement engine. I have just heard that it was a crank design flaw or something. And if you have a 2.8 V-6
in yours what year did they get it right if one is going to replace it
with a 2.8 Blazer or S-10 engine. It's to bad they didn't just put a
265 chev motor V-8. Nice little motor. The one I bought the guy was running 60wt oil in and I didn't hear the knock. My son test drove it and otherwise he loved it. It's still running but is going to have to be replaced sometime soon. Thanks everyone!!!
