Xenon vs. LEDAccordCoupe666 06-03-2004, 06:38 PM i'm gonna get new dome/map lights for my accord and i saw two new types of lights for dome. One being Xenon which i already thought was pretty bright seeing them on headlights but now they have LED ones for dome. Some with 2,4, and even 9 LED lights in one bulb. i never compared them side by side and was wondering which was brighter cause i want the brightest i can get. the only downside to xenon is that they get hot faster. so please let me know. thanks Jas_M 06-04-2004, 02:10 AM Unless you are planning on living in your car, or growing certain green leafy plants, it doesn't matter how bright your dome light is, or whether it's an LED or 'xenon'. Just pick a color you like and be done with it. AccordCoupe666 06-04-2004, 09:38 AM well i'm on the road alot traveling and actually need to use maps thus needing bright dome/map lights. that's why it matters. but thanks for nothing anyhow. Jas_M 06-04-2004, 12:29 PM You didn't say that before. In any case, i'd opt for the LED bulbs, as they are generally brighter, and they definitely last longer than regular bulbs. xproductionz 06-04-2004, 01:19 PM i got blue LEDs for all my dome lamps and they are very bright.. except there blue... even all my interior neon lights are blue.. my interior sorta looks like the blue from the skyline in 2fast2furious LunchBox 06-05-2004, 10:41 AM LED's are the way to go. Don't create as much heat (not that it matters for a dome light), and they usually live at least 10k hours. My 2 pennies. zhoos 06-12-2004, 04:32 AM where can you find these LEDs? I would wanna get some for the dome lights, and for the other lights in my car. AccordCoupe666 06-12-2004, 02:01 PM on ebay. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
