Your better off using an Ignition kill. kicker1_solo 06-03-2004, 10:02 PM Fuel kill is not a good idea IMO. Your better off using an Ignition kill. I completely agree, I just installed an ignition kill last week. jameskersten 06-04-2004, 12:02 AM or install both. very easy. run a switch off the black and yellow wire under your steering wheel going to your ign. switch. done the ign. kill. as for a fuel cut, run a switch from the power wire on your fuel pump. take out your back seat (assuming you drive a civic), find the power wire, believe its red (could be wrong, use a test light to make sure. cut the wire, connect a switch between. there done both. can be done in like 25mins. as for location. i have mine right on the center console by my shifter. if someone wants your car bad enough, there gonna get it. Beastiek2 06-04-2004, 02:33 AM yea 04 civ ignition kill never thought of that i was thinking in the upper part of the glove box i'm gonna read up on ignition kills ~ls/vtec~ 06-04-2004, 03:11 AM right beside the driver seat. between the seat and the door, underneath the carpet. i believe thats where the harness runs so u have easier acces to the wires. i believe the wire to the fuel pump is a yellow one but still double check that(i think it was yellow on the 94 gsr i used to own.) just put a hole in the metal down there and stick ur switch in there and put the carpet back where it was and dont tell anyone about it:) when ur done that switch should be unnoticeable xproductionz 06-04-2004, 06:09 AM the 01+ already have an engine kill.. plus it has a chip in the key Beastiek2 06-04-2004, 07:48 AM good call xproductions i woke up this morn and was like yea we got those weird ass keys.. i like the spot under the carpet good idea BullShifter 06-05-2004, 03:08 PM It's better to use a single pole switch wired into the negative wires. Beastiek2 06-06-2004, 06:22 PM mouted it where i originally planned upper lip of glove box kinda hard to reach painted it all black works nice thanks for the info on wires guys - E Honda 06-06-2004, 11:14 PM Come on guys.......Why run a wire all the way back to the fuel pump.....Why not kill the signal to the pump at the fuse box? Would seem to me you could hook a fuel kill and ignition kill to the same source...All it does is breaks a circuit. E.Honda ~ls/vtec~ 06-07-2004, 03:19 AM theres a relay for the fuel system behind the fuse box underneath the dash. one of those wires goes to the pump. all u have to do is put a switch on it Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
