1996 Blazer Top Brake Light

I am trying to find a schematic or info on the top brake light assembly. There is a diode that used to be red and white and it blew. Now none of the LED's that make up the brake light work. The manual that I read did not give a value for this diode, but it connects straight to the ground wire. Thanks for any response!.

Edit>>> I took out my own light fixture from a 1999 blazer it only has 30 LED's instead of 40, but the part that blew is a through-hole part and the one on the working lights has a large red band and then a small red band and the rest of it is white. It acts like a diode(tested it with mutimeter) and it only allows .5A on one end and ohmed out on one end at about 2M. Can anyone please help me out..Thanks!
