ECU Question on swapE Honda 06-02-2004, 01:59 PM Ya might be a second post but the first one got lost in the shuffle. Installed a 2000 b16a2 into a 93 civic.....In the link there is a photo of the 2 ecu's I have. I did install the knock sensor wire and the car seems to run good but a bit rich. Also at 8500 rpm it shows 4 to 5 grand on the tach...Also got the carbon creations front bumper in today...Dont bother calling trying to get one...According to them here were only 2 made and an employee of the plant has the other..... :smokin: Have not bolted it on yet but as you will see in the pics its gonna look sweet with the VIS fenders and hood. Pics......... (http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/t_maxx_central/album?.dir=/1834&urlhint=actn,ren%3as,1%3af,0) Thanks for any help and feedback in advance E.Honda..... CivicSpoon 06-02-2004, 03:46 PM You're using the P72 ECU correct? E Honda 06-02-2004, 03:59 PM That is correct.,,,,,,,What besides the knock sensor needs to be addressed? CivicSpoon 06-02-2004, 04:22 PM Where did you hook up the tach to? Did you hook it to the Blue wire that's connected to the distributor? Like on here---> http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=798906 Also about running rich I'm not sure (this is just a guess) but maybe it's because you're running a GS-R ECU with the B16a2 so it's giving it more gas than the B16 ECU would...like I said this is just a guess. Hope something i wrote was helpful. E Honda 06-02-2004, 06:51 PM Where did you hook up the tach to? Did you hook it to the Blue wire that's connected to the distributor? Hope something i wrote was helpful. Motor was removed from a 2000 civic si. Is that not the ecu that came in that car with the motor I got...b16a2?......I did nothing to change the tach from the way it came from the factory....I thought maybe the dif in distibutors was the reason. Thanks E.Honda CivicSpoon 06-02-2004, 07:10 PM Damn i'm sorry I'm a moron I was thinking it was an aftermarket tach; i don't know what the prob would be then. Everywhere I've seen p72 it said it's from a GS-R. *damn where the hell is everyone else who know more than I do* Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
