Red face Low coolant light on and off

My low coolant light came on and had to replace water pump, everything seems to be fine but low coolant light keeps coming on and off. My venture is 1998 with 116000 miles and need to know how to reset the low coolant light in the computer. I disconnected the negative cable and removed ecm fuse but no luck. Any advise on how to reset the ecm? Thanx.

Re: Low coolant light on and off

Did you recheck the coolant level to make sure it is at the correct level? You may have a faulty coolant level sensor.

Re: Re: Low coolant light on and off

The coolant level has been fine for months (I replaced the water pump 6 months ago) but the light always kept coming on and off. That's why I thought I needed to reset the computer. Thanx very much for your help.

Both are fine, radiatior and reservoir. I also flushed the radiator to make sure everything is OK but there is enough coolant in the reservoir. How do you change the sensor, is it located in the reservoir?
Thanx once again.....

Smile low coolant light

Just want to tell everybody that I had the problem with the light coming on and off for 6 months but after flushing myself the system with Zerex radiator cleaner the light went of for good so I'm very happy now. I dont have the problem with the light anymore as well as the problem with the power door lock.
As always thank you all......
