Radiator Drain Plug 2004 Blazer Extreme

Ok. I give up. I searched all over the net and also the couple of entries in this forum and found nothing.
Does anyone know how to drain the radiator on a 2004 Blazer Extreme (assume it would be the same for an 03 or 04 Blazer, S10 or GMC).

I read 2 different entries about using a 1/4" socket driver, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.

There is a small "fitting?" below the oil cooler line on the passenger side, but there doesn't appear to be any way to open it that I can think of.

I realize some are probably wondering why I'd be draining it on a 2004 anyway, but it's got Dexcool in it and I want to replace it with Red Line's Water Wetter. I live in Florida and plus, with the price of gas these days I'm swapping all the fluids over to Red Line synthetics.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Dave

Re: Radiator Drain Plug 2004 Blazer Extreme

some of the newer cars have a 1/4" square in plug that you put driver in and twist to open, you can always pul the lower radiator hose, or have a garage use a flush machine to replace dex with red line, will do better job than d & f
