Get 20% Front Bilsteins with no Winch, etc?Tonic 01-19-2002, 08:54 PM I have Bilsteins on order from SLR. 10% front and 20% (stock height) in rear. I have been reading posts and wondering: Should I get the 20% for the front even though I have no plans for a bumper or winch? The only extra weight I foresee in the future is from EOE sliders and skid plates. Matt Peckham 01-19-2002, 10:26 PM that's enough weight to consider them. sliders are a good 120+ pounds, that's more than a bumper, and the skids probably weigh 50+. So yeah, I would do it. 10% is better than nothing though. I have had the 20% for 6 months now and love them. Matt rrdstarr 01-20-2002, 12:33 AM I have the ARB, sliderz and skids and the +20% Bilstiens. You'll be vary happy with the +20%. superjens 01-20-2002, 01:07 AM Yeah, but would you be happy if you didn't have the skids and bumper? I'm about to go down this road myself and am wondering about it. I think eventually my "wants" will get the better of me and I'll slap on the bumper and skids, so I don't think in the meantime it'll hurt me to have the stiffer shocks. Or will it? rrdstarr 01-20-2002, 01:37 AM I got my Swampers first and then bought the +20's! They made a BIG improvement. Then I added EOE sliderz, ARB bumper, SR Skids, rocket launchers, mini-guns and etc..... ToeJam 01-21-2002, 10:17 AM I'm running the 20% stiffer w/o an ARB. The rid isn't harsh or anything. Same with the rear shocks. I eventually added the SR plates, so it was worth it to go heavier. Xlax 01-21-2002, 05:09 PM I am planning on doing my schakles in Feb. Can I get away with just doing the rear shocks for now and get the front later?. I am going to 20% for sure considering my sliders weigh in at 147lbs. C rrdstarr 01-21-2002, 05:34 PM Claus! You should do them all at once! Shocks are pretty easy and straight forward install! Wow your sliders are heavy! EOE's only weigh 100. Xlax 01-21-2002, 05:40 PM Originally posted by rrdstarr Claus! I guess I should do it all at once. Another question (unrelated) I am getting Mosi's Cobra CB on the 2nd. Which antenna should I get. Can I order it online and have it shipped to you rick??..... C Firestick II's are pretty popular with the club. Call www.alfenterprises.com and tell them where you are going to mount it. They'll tell you if you're better off with a ground or non-ground antenna. Matt Peckham 01-21-2002, 08:06 PM Originally posted by rrdstarr Claus! You should do them all at once! The plate that bolts them to the body is 3/8 inch plate. Super stout stuff. rrdstarr 01-21-2002, 08:36 PM Claus, Jens and Scott are always welcome to ship stuff to me! I am usually at home when UPS and USPS show up! Heck I'd even order it for you to save you $$$! ozxterra 01-31-2002, 01:50 AM Claus, I might have a spare antenna somewhere you can have. Ill look. There is an awesome CB store in Lynnwood (North of Seattle) near me that has everything and the guy is very cool who owns it. He gives me all sorts of deals. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
