Question 95 Tahoe chimes

A friend of mine has a 1995 Tahoe, fully loaded, auto, 5.5L. The chime that tells you the door is open, key is in the ingnition, lights are on, seat belts not on and what ever else is wrong, rings for no reason. The truck can be parked, doors closed, with just the ignition on, and after a short time the chime will come on.
Anyone have any idea why this thing is ringing????
I pulled the box out to stop it from ringing, but she wants the chime to work. Something about kocking the keys in the truck.

under the dash against the firewall is your main wiring harness. there is a black bow plugged into it (about 3"x3"). i pulled mine out becuase i hated the chime. problem solved.
