6.5 TD on SVO?

Hi,

is anybody out there running the 6.5 TD (in particular the L56 in a 1996 Tahoe) on straight vegetable oil?

On www.greasel.com, they say it would just work fine, but they want to sell their kits, of course. I'm afraid I might be running into problems if I would run the engine on SVO.

So it would be very helpful to hear about your experience with it. Anything you could tell would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 6.5 TD on SVO?

You'll do better off if you do a search on the net for 6.5 TD. I've been looking for a diesel for about 6 months and found good sites for the cummins diesel. There is another site that favors the chevy's. Another site is www.tdiclub.com, go to links and the chevy site is in there.
