Maybe somebody knows where the Horn relay is located. I think, the problem is with the relay, because if I press Panick Alarm button, the light is flashing, but the horn is dead. So, something is wrong with the relay-not with the horn button... Anybody has a clue on how to find the Horn Relay? sarsourus 06-01-2004, 12:08 PM go to ur dealer they should do it no charge is if is just a relay ponchonutty 06-01-2004, 09:30 PM Automakers don't let out their information until 3 years out so that's why you can't find anything. Law makers are trying to change that. Anyway, there is no horn relay for your car. It is a direct feed. You'll see a white/green wire comming out of the column. THat circuit should rest at 12v+ and will trigger the horn when it goes to ground. The horn is also found at the Time Control Unit or the SECU (smart entrance control unit) and is to the right of the steering column. igofman 06-02-2004, 07:35 AM Ponchonutty, thanks for the information. Maybe you know why the horn circuit has two (2) fuses. How are they connected? The voltage +12 is on both fuses and horn is working, if apply the +12V directly. bacchus_00 06-10-2004, 02:49 AM igofman , did you check if the cable behind the steering wheel is correctly fitted?? maybe yo push the horn and just it is un-pluged greatone7 04-27-2005, 12:13 PM Did you ever get anywhere with this. Blue Bowtie 08-12-2006, 12:25 PM Thanks People For Your Advises. I've Bought A Cd With A Repair Manual For Nissan Swntra 2001-2004 (all Pdf Files) On Ebay For Just $0.50 (!). So, I've Fixed The Problem. It Was A Bad Wire Between Fuse Box And Relay Box. Just for posterity (and anyone else searching the forums as I did) I've just encountered the same situation on a 2001 Sentra. The dark green wire in the brown bundle between the underhood fuse panel and the underhood relay center is open. There are no connectors, just copper all the way, and this piece failed. What is more disconcerting is the size of the wire. It is 18 ga. at best, probably smaller. And even worse, it appears to be solid wire instead of stranded, which is about the worst thing to do in a harness which may be subjected to movement and vibration. Hopefully, this will help someone else. That's two instances reported here alone, and probably countless others that aren't represented here. FixUrNissan 08-12-2006, 08:53 PM horn problem ... Check wiring harness by the bottom left corner ( driver side ) of radiator . Wire normally breaks down there .. GL Blue Bowtie 08-12-2006, 10:19 PM Thanks for the hint. Do you mean in that white plastic guide/corner where everything gets jammed through? I had that all out, unclipped, and opened up along with the battery, fuse panel, cables, grille, coolant overflow and relay center, etcetera, so I could cleanly access the whole harness that routes under/in front of the lower radiator support. It's a good thing it all comes apart easily. I just ran a new wire - 11 strand 16 Ga.- and soldered/shrink tubed it at the fuse panel and relay center. I didn't have the correct green, but the next unfortunate soul working on this should be able to figure it out, since it's an obviously different wire from everything else. I was mistaken about the OEM wire being solid. It is actually five strand - Still not very flexible. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
